Tractor-Trailer Crash Leads To I-97 Closure In Maryland (Developing)

Some lanes were blocked on Monday morning in Anne Arundel County when a tractor-trailer overturned and spilled debris into the northbound lanes of I-97.

An alert was issued by police shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 4 when the truck - for unknown reasons - crashed near the ramp to westbound Route 32.

Police say that the truck crashed and overturned, leaving all lanes blocked as crews cleared the scene and shut down the interstate.

It is unclear what caused the crash.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area during the crash investigation.
